My Parent's Child Story

This post is about my Parents talking about how my life was different compared to theirs? We talked in class about this assignment agreeing that there is lots of information, which our parent holds. And it is very important to talk to them before they are gone from this world, so our homework was to talk to them about a topic in their life, which was very important. That is why my parents chose the topic about their child life and my child life.

"You are very lucky," that was the last thing that my father said to me about my soccer team. I asked him why, because I was wondering why I was lucky to be on my soccer team. Talking in the car, watching my father trying to explain about how hard the life was in Japan, and explaining about how now days the adults are more relaxed. My father sounded quit upset because I was not suffering at all. I was wondering why my father was pissed at me even though I did nothing wrong. So in the end I asked him.

My father explained that in his lie time as a child life was never easy. At a sport practice you usually would have been a ball boy during the first two years and then you are eligible to be on the team. If you do not cooperate, then the coach will either beat you with a stick or throw a bucket of muddy water onto you. He also explained that to play soccer, the kids shin needed to be as strong as metal. It was strong because my father and his friends trained their shins with beer bottles. They hit their shins as hard as they could, and after it has recovered the shins would be stronger.

My mother had the same problem as my father. My mother used to be a volleyball player. When she was doing a lousy job the coach would often dump water, which the cleaning lady used to mop the floor. With her clothes all wet she needed to run a lot of laps around the school. Even during the wintertime she needed to run around the school with a wet t-shirt. She said that the teachers would not hit the girls because they are fragile compared to the boys, but the punishment was equally as bad.

Compared to the punishments, which American kids get, the Japanese punishments are more severe. That is one of the reasons why my mother and father moved to the United States. The reason was that they did not want their child to suffer the same things that they had gone through as kids living up in Japan. So, that is why I am in the United States, far away from the Japanese culture.

Something, which is far different compared to the American society, is the amount of work the school gives out. My father and mother said this to me the other day, "You are very lucky, and you do not even need to go to coaching school after you are done with regular school." My parents usually went to coaching school for at least five hours after their regular school had ended. They got home at about ten or eleven in the night, and after that they need t do their homework. That was their high school life in Japan.

My regular life in the high school is, starting school at 8:30 and ending at the latest of 3:30. Then I go home to do my homework. That is a difference of at least six hours of going home. Also in Japan there were train rides, which are at least one hour long because the roads are crowded and the parents do not want to drive. My Father had a My-life-was-so-difficult look on his face, which implied that he wanted me to feel bad because my life is easy compared to his. Those were the main differences between my high school life and my parent’s high school life.

Intro

I would think the purpose of a Blog is to enhance a person's writing by many ways, such as different styles of writing. My video clip I will try to install will show metaphorically that there are different ways of doing a task. Probably the possible way a blog can help is that there are many people, which are going to read our writing so, that may also allow us to copy and use different ways of styles. That is probably I would think as the main reason for this blog.

Enjoy!!!

This clip shows that there are two types of soccer players, one which is strength and the other of being a skillful player. This clip shows that in one subject, there are many ways of preforming. I think that a person's writing has a different style compared to any other person. I think that the blog makes it possible to look at someone else's work, which will help you make the best style of writing, which suites you the most.
